Would you consider choosing a hotel from a foreign chain over a locally owned hotel, if it were considered eco?

If the chain has local staff and managers, then I would think it is serious about its commitment to helping local comunities, besides its commitment to the environment. As long as the hotel aims to be environmentally and culturally aware, I don´t see what the difference is between local and foreign owners. After all, this foreign hotel is making a huge investment in the local community.

I would consider both, its all a matter of how eco they are and what they offer. It doesn´t really matter if they are a foreign chain or a locally owned hotel.
Also, even if it has local or foreign owners/chains, they are still making a serious commitment to helping local communities.
