paradise
After the business side of my trip to Indonesia, I decided to pamper myself and stay at Nihiwatu. This resort has some of the most spectacular views in Sumba. The beach was just what I wanted- not at all crowded, and with plenty of places to enjoy the calm beauty of Indonesia. The hotel also offers plenty of trips around the island, as well as trips to secluded villages. I was finally able to understand Indonesia’s appeal thanks to my stay here.

So beautiful!
I stayed here on a trip to Indonesia where I hopped around a little bit and stayed at a couple of different places.
I'm not sure how eco this place is, it's kind of resort-y. But very beautiful. This place definitely exceeded our expectations. We booked through an agent and had everything taken care of for us.
They have a high staff to guest ratio, so service is excellent. This was our splurge at the end of the trip. Though, there were a lot of surfers there when we went, I guess it's kind of an upper end surfing place? Weird, but I guess the waves are good there.
There is a spa, with great treatments. I definitely recommend trying it out. The meals were excellent in the restaurant.
You can do little excursions and trips, there are lots to choose from. Ask at the hotel.
