Just perfect
I traveled around Argentina with my wife last year, and was amazed at the many eco-friendly accommodations we found. We were especially taken aback by the wonderful Yacutinga Lodge in Misiones. Relatively close to Iguazu Falls, the Lodge provides an ideal experience for us ecotourists. The place itself blends perfectly with the forest surrounding it. The rooms are scattered throughout the forest but within viewing distance of the main building. There we met our guide Gustavo, who like everyone else at the lodge, is experienced in nature and wildlife and speaks English. We enjoyed educational tours of their wildlife refuge, and our night tour was especially rewarding. Although set in the middle of the forest, the facilities were outstanding, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The food was also delicious. My wife was getting a little tired of Argentinean meat everywhere, so the vegetarian menu was perfect for her. We also got a chance to try some traditional dishes. Basically, everything was great- the surroundings, the service, the tours… the experience.

Great Jungle Experience
Great little hotel nestled in the jungle. The rooms are comfortable, and we had a great frog in the bathroom to keep us company. There were excellent jungle tours morning, afternoon, and evening with a biologist.
The restaurant was okay, but far from great. And meals are fixed, so if you have a special diet (vegetarian or whatever), you need to let them know in advance, or upon arrival. They will make adjustments to the menu, at least for a vegetarian diet. There’s a great breakfast buffet that will probably suit everyone. I’d say the highlight of the food is this great iced mate that they serve on arrival and after every jungle walk.
Keep in mind, the internet connection doesn’t always work, and there’s no cell phone connection, so if you need to be in contact for work, that won’t happen here.
