try a resort
there are plenty of beaches, but my guess is they’re not very clean (at least not the ones I went to). I recommend staying at a resort for a couple of days (We chose La casa que canta) and then travel on your own, or the other way around. Nice coral formation called King’s Reef, which you might want to look into.

Mercado de Artesanias
great place for bargains and crafts made by the locals. This is where you’ll find all your souvenirs.

Beach central
so many beaches to choose from, to name a few: Playa Blanca, Playa Principal, Playa Larga (my favorite, with almost 2 miles of sand)

archaeology
Palma Sola Acapulco is not known for its ruins or archaeological sites, but that doesn’t mean they’re not there. Palma Sola is off the beaten track, and not all taxi drivers know how to get there, but it’s worth it. I would say it offers the best panoramic view of Acapulco, as well as a bit of culture/history.

Fuerte de San Diego.
It is an 18-century fortress with great exhibits. A nice place to visit if you’re tired of the beach.

the market
You know me, love the markets…They’re the best place for great finds and a chance to mingle with the locals (who always have the best tips for tourists, if you care to listen…) Get ready to haggle over prices, though! Highly recommend it if you’re thinking of buying Mexican crafts but haven’t got that much money to spend.
