Kizingo and Old Town
Kizingo promises a relaxing getaway, with beautiful beaches. I agree with alexis and jimbo, you should definitely visit Lamu Old Town.

Diamond Beach Village
I recommend you choose Diamond Beach Village as your accommodations. You’ll appreciate the peace and tranquility and beautiful views of the beach. The staff is also very helpful.

my recommendations
My advise: visit Lamu Old Town (a UNESCO site) and Takwa Ruins on Manda Island

Shela Beach and Lamu
This place has got great atmosphere, very calm and friendly. Almost an hour’s walk from town is one of the best unspoiled beaches I’ve even been to, Shela Beach. Try to make some time to visit this beautiful place. My suggestion: don’t rush. Just walk about Lamu and its labyrinths and enjoy your time here.

quality time
Although this is not a place of world-famous monuments and landmarks, it is a haven for any tourist who wants to take it slow and get to know Kenya and its people. There are plenty of attractions to visit. There’s Lamu Museum and the Old Fort and the Lamu Market (right in front of where I stayed, Subira House).
