Cambodia Summary
Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation with a blooming tourism industry. Although its temples and beaches attract visitors from all over the world, travelers have recently been discovering some of the hidden wonders of this country. Cambodia’s bird sanctuaries are gaining popularity among recent travelers, who also take the time to visit the Mekong River, where the endangered freshwater Irrawaddy dolphins still make their home. The imposing ruins of the ancient Khmer civilization in the deep of the jungle, the colorful pagodas, and the wonders of its many islands are also included on most itineraries. Visiting the remote areas and buried temples of Cambodia’s once thriving Angkor Empire complete the tour of this thriving tourist haven.

Kabal Spean
Kabal Spean is less than a 1-hour ride from the town center, with about a half hour jungle trekking to reach the stone carvings on the river banks. It combines beautiful landscapes with history and culture. A must in my opinion.

Angkor Wat-amazing
Anybody who goes to Siem Reap should visit the famous Angkor Wat temple. Its beautiful towers and walls depict characters and scenes from Hindu mythology and are quite intriguing.

Yaklom Hill Lodge
A stay at Yaklom Hill Lodge would be my best recommendation. It is a spectacular green hotel nestled in the jungle that serves traditional food and offers the most beautiful views all within the comfort of your room, and without disrupting the environment much.
