Cuyabeno, Sucumbios, Ecuador Summary
Ecuador is situated in Northwestern South America and has an extensive Pacific Ocean coastline. With many of its cities and sites included as Unesco World Heritage sites, this country has much more to offer besides its famous Galapagos Islands. For the curious and adventurous type, the city of Baños, Spanish for baths, is ideal. Here, visitors can find an active volcano having small eruptions on and off. There are also many popular hotspring mineral baths, from which the name of the city derives. With great beaches, incredible biodiversity, and the possibility of extreme sports such as rafting and mountain climbing, it’s no wonder this lively South American country has become a popular vacation spot. If the landscape alone does not attract travelers, the warmth of Ecuador and its people will be sure to.

I agree
The lodge gices great tours, very educational and fun. The area is full of possibilities for great wildlife viewing. I was warned not to travel to the area because of its proximity to Colombia, but it's completely safe!! You're always accompanied by great staff.

stay at Tapir Lodge
During my trip to Cuyabeno, I was fortunate enough to stay in Tapir Lodge within the Cuyabeno Preserve. The guided tours were outstanding, very informative and fun. I saw tons of wildlife, from dolphins to anacondas. I always felt safe with my guide nearby.
